About me

AI, web development, and online product building

I use AIFred as my place for projects, notes, and ideas that come out of my work around AI, websites, and online products. I do not put only finished things here, but also the context and small details that happen along the way.

AIFred - hub of my AI projects

I felt the need to create a hub for the projects I build with AI. And also a place to store ideas I want to work on later. Traditionally, WordPress would be used for this, but I wanted to create a CMS with AI as well so I could see what the pitfalls are. It’s a tough nut to crack, I can tell you that.

The initial launch and setup were a huge ordeal, and most things simply refused to work. The chosen technologies were not at all suitable for running a project that is, in a way, a blog. After exhausting rounds of reworking the project with AI over and over again, the level of frustration reached a point where I had to stop and leave the project alone for a few months.

When I came back, the AI models were a bit smarter again and everything started moving. I keep adding features like on a conveyor belt, but I don’t want to overdo it. I only build what makes sense for this kind of project and what makes my work easier. I also put effort into making sure the project meets certain technical criteria from an SEO and AIO perspective, and I’m curious where this website will get to. Every day I add some new feature, and I enjoy watching it grow.

I recently added an English version of the blog, and I wanted to avoid having to either write the English texts twice or translate them through some tool like Google Translator. So I integrated AI into the website via API, and now with one button it generates English texts, another button generates SEO texts, and I have yet another button for Czech proofreading, because I often make typos. I enjoy writing, but being perfect in Czech is something I probably won’t manage even by the end of my life. Still, connecting the website administration to an AI API is a major milestone for me. It wasn’t particularly complicated, but I expected a snag... unnecessarily. It’s great, and I’m really happy about it.
